The iPad is a smashing success, there can be no other way to put it. Much like the success with the iPhone, Apple has managed to hit another one out of the part by redefining how people look at tablet computers. But then there is the question of availability and how people can buy them. After all, there is something to be said for simply being able to head on over to the local big box store and pick one up, right?

Well it turns out that this is being solved as Best Buy will be offering the iPad to their customers. This is not only an indication that Best Buy is doing everything they can to snuggle up to Apple even more, it also indicates that they are warming up for what is hopefully a better holiday season for retailers this year. And this is great for people who are likely going to be doing a lot of last minute shopping come this holiday season.

The single biggest advantage to seeing the iPad at Best Buy is going to be this: comparing it side by side to other like-minded devices. This means if there is an e-book reader someone is looking at, no problem, both devices will be there for comparison shopping. And this certainly doesn’t hurt Best Buy as it provides sales to them either way.
