There has been speculation that the iPad will not be as recognized as much as the Amazon Kindle. Well, based on what I am reading here it seems that there is more iPad awareness than anyone had initially thought.

As for any concern of the iPad being a threat to the netbook market, I can wholeheartedly say that it’s not going to happen. Don’t get me wrong, with the keyboard attachment available from Apple, the iPad can be made to feel a bit like a netbook.

When you tie in the the e-book options being made available, suddenly you find that the iPad could actually prove to be a real competitor to the already popular Amazon Kindle. Bundle this with the Kindle app for the iPad/iPhone, one might surmise that no matter how you look at it, Apple is in a great position.
