iWork To Surge In Sales

There should be an image here!In the past, iWork was always sort of second cast to the Microsoft Office option for Apple users. But this article indicates that this could very well change if everything holds true.

Despite the strong sales for 2009, I still don’t get the appeal iWork vs Office? Not to say that I am an Office fan by any stretch – we use NeoOffice on the Mac here at the house.

No, my big question is in trying to determine why exactly anyone would really bother with something so limited. Then again, the article may be hitting the nail on the head. With the lower pricing, I can see students and non-professionals looking to save some money taking this approach.

I switched to iWork because it is simpler, faster, more intuitive, and more organized than Microsoft Office 2008 for Mac.

Office for Mac is incredibly resource-consuming and clunky and it costs almost twice as much. While the switch to iWork did take some time to adjust, I now feel much more comfortable and in control than when using Office.
