A new Apple Bluetooth keyboard and mouse, sounds interesting. But the bigger question is why this is seen as such a big deal? Likely because anytime Apple does something new with hardware and peripherals, new technology is in play.
What is perhaps most comical about all of this is that we see Apple being their usual secretive selves as they promptly removed images depicting what both the new mouse and keyboard are to look like.
All of this aside, there is one piece of speculation surrounding all of this that actually makes a lot of sense. It is quite likely that with the upcoming Mac refresh in design that has been rumored about for sometime now, these new specs for a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse are to be part of this Mac upgrade. And while it might not seem significant initially, it does offer a peak into where Apple might be headed next.
