Apple Destined To Become A Giant In Mobile Gaming?

Have to admit, this does present a strong argument for Apple being seriously interested in diving feet first into the portable gaming market. And i their minds, what better way to get their than with the iPhone 3GS/iPod Touch onward?
The problem is that others have previously tried and failed. The Nokia N-Gage is one example that comes to mind. But the difference I suppose is additional functionality that the Apple products can provided over something that today, would be considered a gaming only device.
Examples of these might include portable gaming products from Nintendo or Sony. In either case, I think Apple could very well make huge strides in mobile gaming over time. Perhaps not so much with graphics, as in interaction with the game itself.
