Spotify On The iPhone

Been hearing good things about Spotify for some time how. Many music lovers swear by it, even more so than perhaps with Pandora, which seems to be almost along the same lines. Still, Spotify does appear to cater more to the folks wanting to avoid music piracy yet at the same time still having the option of taking their music with them.

For instance, being able to actually take the music from Spotify with you even when a network connection is not available is a huge difference between Spotify and Pandora I suppose. And clearly, Spotify does a fairly decent job here in the iPhone… so long as you download over Wi-Fi.

Not minding the ads really; the honest to goodness killer issue for me is the fact that on the iPhone app of Spotify, if you close the application to do other stuff, the music stops. Seriously a buzzkill when you are not aware of it. But at a cost of zero, well, that or the premium edition for a small fee, I think that Spotify on the iPhone could become a premiere application.
