Leopard Lacking Patches?

It’s like Apple is slowly evolving into Microsoft on the carelessness level! Yes, I get it, Java is not seen as one of the most awesome things to have displayed in a Web browser. But it should be noted that it is still commonly used regardless and keeping things up to date is critical.
Sadly, it looks as if Apple missed that memo for some reason. Even though OS X is generally quite secure, no one operating system is bulletproof. And leaving users with unpatched releases of Java is just screaming for some very bad Apple PR. I doubt the company wants that.
What is even more sad is seeing some of the comment reactions to the article linked above over at The Register. They are under the impression that if something is not as unsecured as Windows, then it is clearly not an issue. That, my friends, is a dangerous argument. All operating systems need to be properly patched… period.
