AT&T Would Fold Without Apple?

I don’t think there is really any question that AT&T got a sour Apple when it took on the iPhone with 3G speeds. Simply put, it was and is clearly not even remotely ready for the level of usership it is dealing with right now.
To make matters worse, I have seen little evidence that iPhone users will ever be free of AT&T should they wish to continue with their Apple goodness for their mobile needs. It’s just not happening.
As the above linked story explains, AT&T is making strides to improve its performance. But something tells me that the single biggest change we will begin seeing over any actual speed increase is more bandwidth throttling. Just call it a hunch…

I agree. The only reason that AT&T is where it’s at now is because of the iPhone.
