iPhone to Launch In China

Is China ready for the iPhone? I figure they are, considering the growth in mobile usage the region has seen in recent years. What remains largely unclear is how the government over there is to handle the onslaught of applications likely to overwhelm their existing restrictions on what is allowed and what is not?

So while the iPhone could be launching in China here pretty soon, something tells me that the iPhone in China could see the same marketplace problem that other countries outside of the States have seen. Japan being a good example, where adoption was practically nonexistent.

Bundle this with the huge Linux push that has been coming from the region and it is safe to say that the iPhone will have its work cut out for it. Then again, China is the largest base of mobile users in the world with a growing middle class…so perhaps its a wash either way?
