No Google Voice App For You?

There should be an image here! What is up with Apple and Google lately? Seems like Google is just not able to catch a break with them. First with Latitude in the App Store being a big no. And now Google’s voice app also being rejected, while Skype apparently is just fine. What’s going on?

As the above article points out, Apple’s hand might be forced here by AT&T. Clearly, Google voice applications would be seen as a data nightmare for the weak data services offered by the always struggling not to suck, AT&T.

Apple, now more than ever you need to lose AT&T ASAP. Because speaking for myself, come my time for an upgrade, I will not be using AT&T or the iPhone. I will likely be looking at one of the Android options as I simply refused to put up with this carrier’s crap any longer. But this is merely my own perspective.

I have a blackberry from AT&T that has both Google Latitude and Google Voice…

Got my Google voice invite earlier in the week. Cool service but i don’t have a direct office line anymore and i got rid of my home phone line. So it’s cool that i live in TN and have a Los Angeles phone number. But that fact that my friends have to wait 25 seconds to goto voice mail is kind of a bummer. Also I might be a little happier when Verizon picks up an Android phone so I can utilize the service a little better.

Isn’t Skype “fine” because it can only use WiFi, whereas GoogleVoice uses AT&T’s network to facilitate calling?

I got GV mobile right before it was removed. I hope apple notices that they need to ge rid of at&t!
