Is The Apple Tablet A Threat To iPhone Devs?

There is really no question that the Apple Tablet is destined to be a game changer for Apple as a whole. But there are also some concerns that it might translate into extra headaches for iPhone developers. Allow me to explain why.
In the past, developing for the iPhone has translated into understood consistency amongst certain device specs. This means that the developers of iPhone ready apps know that the screen size is not changing anytime soon. And even to some degree, the hardware abilities will not be leaping ahead all that much.
Now with the promise of an Apple Tablet, likely to run apps from the Apple App Store, this will mean that iPhone devs will need to be able to make sure their games and apps work both on the smaller iPhone screen/hardware in addition to that of whatever the Tablet’s specs will end up looking like.

Did you ever think that they may distribute software via AN “App Store”
and not the same one that they use for the iPhone?
So same way of distributing it, but different platform (like, maybe a full version of OSX)?

So we know that they are actually making one?
