Despite Recession, The Macs Are Selling Well
Just as I figured I had a good handle on where Apple was with their Mac sales, I read an article like this one which then pitches the whole sense of understanding right out the window. As it turns out, there is actually potential for a shortage of the new 13″ Macbook Pro notebooks here in the near future.
The newly re-branded 13′ Macbook Pros are clearly a hot seller with little indication of them cooling off anytime soon. Bundle this with the red hot sales success of the iPhone 3GS and one might surmise that Apple is do just fine.
As for the potential for shortages, I think this is going to likely get worse before it gets better. While Apple has been hard at work making sure that their data needs are addressed, I am not totally convinced the same is true with their hardware requirements.

That’s because Mac users are *immune* to recession :)

The reason why mac are selling so well, has a name:
VISTA
People just want a computer that works great, and doesn’t come every 10minutes asking you to click a button.

I had a hard time looking for a store that carried the new MacBook pro here at where I live. I guess that’s an indication that the new macs are a big seller round here. Even the iPhone 3gs ran out of stocks during its launch.
I still work with a PC though. But my recent purchases are from Apple. I guess I’m one of those average macjunkies that contributed to this alleged Apple profit.
