An iPhone Coming To China

Apple is but a hair away from seeing their iPhone making a big splash in China. Well, in Hong Kong anyway. It seems that Hong Kong’s Unicom is in heavy discussions with Apple to see about becoming an exclusive distributor of the iPhone throughout China.
Despite China Mobile having been in discussions at one point in the past, it looks as if it will be Unicom making the big splash here should the deal go through. Official word thus far is that their in discussions with Apple - that’s all they are saying.
As for my own perspective, Unicom knows there is big money on the table here and I really doubt that either Unicom or Apple is planning on it slipping through the table here. It may take some doing, but I believe that it will be a “go” for both companies. It’s just going to take making it really worthwhile for both companies involved I think.
