The 3G S Goes On Pre-order

It was Leo Laporte that once exclaimed that his viewers could know when Apple was about to release their latest and greatest as it would be right after he upgraded to what they already offered. And to a lesser degree, this is how I feel about being a recent convert from the Blackberry to the iPhone 3G.

Not even a year after upgrading, I am about to feel obsolete again as the iPhone 3G S is already available on pre-order. And truth be told, getting this phone early on a pre-order is just smart business for the consumer as it means you will actually have a snowballs chance in heck of being able to get one of these beauties.

The same day these orders are to be fulfilled, early adopters will also be able to stand in line at Best Buy, Walmart and Apple Stores to get their brand new iPhone. Will I be among them? No, despite it being faster and providing more functionality, I am finding that the one I own currently is working just great. Besides, I am not eligible for an upgrade for sometime now.
