Palm Pre To Make It Or Break It

There should be an image here!I guess I just don’t get it. We already know what the iPhone currently offers and have a fairly decent idea of what to expect from what is being coined as the iPhone Video, yet to be released. But come on, why is anyone excited about the Palm Pre?

Understand I ask this not as a cynic, rather as I completely devoid of any reason for wanting to check it out? Palm, a desperate company, has finally achieved something that reminds me of the G1 without the strength of the Google brand!

Palm did a nice job in the 90’s. I owned no less than four different models of Palm handheld back then. But unless the Pre is available to more carriers, can solved shortcomings brought on from the iPhone or the G1, why does anyone actually care?

I see your point. Ya know I heard that Ford had a model of car called the Fusion. It’s affordable, efficient and comes in multiple colors and options. Seems like Ford has the answer that everyone wants. I can’t understand why — with there being several hundred other choices out there that anyone would want to buy that new Toyota. I think maybe all auto manufacturing should be done by Ford and that everyone should buy a fusion and use Exxon gasoline.

As you can see I am clearly on your side on this one.
