Apple Is Thinking Data Center In North Carolina

Today I learned that the State House of North Carolina is looking to entice Apple Computer into their shores with a bit of a tax credit. While it is not officially on record that this is the company that the legislature is attempting to attract specifically, it is also hardly any sort of secret either. North Carolina wants Apple in their state.
The downside to all of this is that this is a bid for Apple’s data-center, not for some massive jobs to be created. In total, the only jobs created here number at about 50 with some other contractors to be added in addition. Hardly anything to be too excited about.
Despite others hoping to see an extension to this policy benefiting others as well, it looks like in this instance, we will see Apple get their data center and no one else is expected to see any real benefits from this per se.
