Hackintosh Community Gets A Boost

If you happen to be the owner of a MSI “hackintoshes,” then you are going to love the latest OS X updates! It seems that Apple has done the hackintosh community a service by helping to extend the battery life for select models of notebook computers.
What is surprising is that while this was clearly supposed to mean better power management for the Mac, it is the PC user seeing the most significant benefit. Boots in battery life by 3-4 hours or more is clearly something that is going to make a lot of people really happy.
As for the actual Mac user, it is difficult to say where the battery usage will come into play. More than likely, the differences will be less noticiable, as the hackintosh generally had terrible battery life to begin with. Then again, maybe the Macs will also see a huge boost as well. Only time will tell.
