Nokia Is Going To Rock Its Own App Store

It’s comical, but it seems like only yesterday I was someone who used to proudly ring my default Nokia ringtone on my old Nokia phone. How times have changed! Today, it seems like Nokia has dropped off the face of the planet, what with the wars going on with the iPhone, G1, BlackBerry Storm and soon, the Palm Pre.
But now there is news that Nokia is about to launch its own app store and boy is it going to launch BIG. It is being reported that Nokia will be rocking along with something like 20,000 apps in its debut! Cannot speak for others out there, but to me, that seems pretty impressive.
As to how this will do against the Apple App Store and that of the Pre, BlackBerry and others, remains to be seen at this point. Speaking for myself personally though, with the exception of the Apple store, I think that Palm will be buried by Nokia’s efforts here. Call it a hunch.
