This Tweetie Bird Is OS X Friendly

Unlike the Tweetie Bird from the cartoons, this Tweetie is a communication tool designed to allow Twitter users the option of twittering along with friends right off of their OS X desktop. Unlike other Twitter apps using stuff like Adobe Air, the application generally runs much smoother than the alternatives.
The UI is quite pleasant to use, provides its users options for a very clean timeline in which the user can navigate within the app easily. Best of all, when clicking on images in the timeline, you have a small pop-up, rather than a full browser window to contend with. Again, very nice.
Speaking as a Tweetie users on the iPhone, I can say with certainty that this is how Twitter was meant to be enjoyed on OS X. Simple, complete and powerful without a lot of extra fluff that no one wants anyway. Major props to its developers.
