If The iPhone Can’t Take The Heat - Get Off The Wifi

On the PC front, it is something I have said for years. If it is getting too hot, the wifi is going to take a total nose dive. Now it appears that many Apple iPhone users are experiencing this first hand as some wifi chipsets are just not designed to do that well in some close quarters with other heated hardware.

While one guy out there has managed to take matters into their own hands with a stick of nitrogen to help with the cooling process, it seems that some alleviation of the symptoms can be overcome. Unfortunately, unless Apple is going to start doing something like this for us, the solution described above is not going to be a lot of help.

It should be noted that not everyone is having this problem. And even more convoluted, the causes can actually vary somewhat. But based on what I have found, Apple has some strong troubleshooting threads going on here for those affected by the wifi overheating their iPhone too much. Take a gander here and here.
