Psystar Marches On With A New PC Release

One of my favorite rebellious Apple stories is the continuing saga that is Psystar. This is a company that legitimately purchase the OS X operating system, but then opts to step into a legal gray area by loading the OS onto non-Apple authorized hardware.
And despite what feels like a never-ending legal battle between the two companies, despite Apple making Psystar out to be some sort of “pirate” of sorts, the PC company continues to sell computers not produced by Apple that are pre-loaded with OS X. Frankly, outside of the aspect that this is not my problem, I think that what Psystar is doing amounts to play with fire. While they are able to get away with it today, I have reservations that there will be anyway that they can maintain this level of success for ever.
New slimline towers
While legal battles rage on elsewhere, Psystar has just released their latest OS X loaded PC for all to beyond. An attractive, slimline tower is now available and to be honest, it will likely appeal to those folks out there who would rather have access to the Apple OS than the Apple form factor. Think about it - $600 vs a grand plus for an iMac. It may not be as pretty, but for those who are not made of money, it is something a lot of people are giving serious credence to.
