Email Backup Solution

I needed to review my backup schedule. I was backing up way to stuff in my opinion. For example: I don’t need to back up my iTunes library, bookmarks, or movies every day. What I need to back up every day is my email!

I don’t know about your situation, but my email is also my main archive for documents, manuals, license keys, etc. When I lose my email, I am in a whole lot of trouble. I used Silverkeeper for all my backups and was pretty happy with it, although I was always struggling with the backup schedules. So I made life easy and created one full backup and used incremental backups after that. Once a month I created a fresh, full backup, and ran the incremental backups twice a week.

It took a lot of time to back up my data; that’s the reason I did not run the backups daily. It wasn’t very safe because there was still the danger of losing email. I was very happy when I found the program emailbackup. This program is easy to use and gives you the ability to back up only your email folders. You can use a server on the network, external hard disk, or another partition. It’s fast and gives you exactly what you want from a backup program.

I still use Silverkeeper for my full backups, which I run once a week. But I highly recommend this piece of software for your email backups!

Hi,

although I cannot contribute anything useful, at least here’s something funny regarding backups:
