Expand That Digital Hub and Put Front Row on Your TV

Steve Jobs has said often that his vision for Apple products is to tie them all into a “digital hub”. Releasing Front Row late last year was one more step closer to that dream. While many speculated a media center-like Mac was next on the list, it never appeared. Sure, the Mac mini has Front Row and it could be hooked up to a television with some adapters but without the built-in connectors for a TV, it was obvious that the Mac mini was not meant to be a media center appliance.

techStream wants to bring Steve’s vision to life and thus has created iMac Home. With iMac Home, users install a plug-in on their iMac and then connect two slim boxes to the USTech network switch. One side emits the remote signals to the other unit which sits in front of the TV. You can either use the iMac supplied remote or the more in-depth techStream universal remote. Adding more TV boxes will allow you to then expand that digital hub to more TVs in your home.

With the iMac Home, you’ll be able to fully replicate Front Rows features on your TV. Show off your latest iPhoto slide show to family, play the latest iMovie from your library, entertain guests with one of the many TV show downloads from iTunes Music Store, or simply play a DVD. It can all be done from your TV now with techStream.

With techStreams solution, you’ll be making your iMac the true digital hub of Steve Jobs’ vision.
