(Another) Must Have OS X Apps

The great thing about OS X is it runs on UNIX. Because of that, lots of UNIX programs can be found and tweaked for the most beautiful adaption of UNIX. I stumbled over a list of OS X must have applications which consists of a lot of open source and cousins from the UNIX world, though commercial products are also found here. You UNIX lovers will know of Biff and “pager” for your X windows. Welp, those can be found in OS X variants now. Other must haves are MenuMeters (I’ve used this for years and LOVE it!), FreeDMG (make your own disk images), ecto (go-go bloggers!), and OmniGraffle (who needs Visio?) to name a few.

Chip Cuccio did a good job outlining some really good applications for your Mac and I’d suggest that you go check it out.
