I have become very fond of new sound utility I discovered last month called Sound Grinder. Sound Grinder 2.5.1 was developed by a company called Monkey-Tools. This handy little program started out as a simple audio conversion tool and has blossomed into much more.
Whether you are a seasoned audio professional, a home studio owner, or just beginning in the art of sound design, Sound Grinder was made for you.
First and foremost Sound Grinder is a great sound converter. It’s fast and flexible. You can now import and export FLAC, OGG/FLAC, and BWAV file formats and their associated metadata. Of course the old stand-bys are still there, .wav, .aiff, .au, .mp3, .amr and QuickTime. You can now import, edit and export MP3 ID3 Tags, Vorbis Comments, FLAC Comments, and QuickTime User Data as supported by the LAME MP3 and other codecs and standards. Additionally, when converting between formats, any equivalent metadata will be carried over to the output file.
