Flip Over Belkin’s New KVM for the Mac mini

  • No Related Post

Did I flip out when I saw Belkin showing off it’s new KVM for the Mac mini at CES, Saturday? No. But I was very much intrigued by it. Its perfect fit to sit under the mini and seamless look made it an immediate eye pleaser. Then the touch sensitive buttons made it just that much better.

So what’s the point of this KVM? Who has two mini’s that need hooking up? We’ll, that’s not the point. The point is to actually hook up another box like a PC to it. I had to ditch my kids “play” computer when we got our mini because there was no good KVM solution for the mini. Now after seeing this, the kids can once again play Charlie the Church mouse!

It’s your basic two port KVM. It handles VGA (yes, you’ll need a DVI-VGA converter which the Flip will come with,) stereo out, mic in, and USB keyboards and mice. All Apple keys are supported with the KVM as well.

Selling for about $85 (soon,) this will be a nice addition to any family needing to pair two computers up and one of them being a Mac mini. I thought it was pretty nice and it will be there at Macworld tomorrow for all to see once more before its release.
