The Year In Review (For Apple)

What a crazy year it’s been for Apple. It started it off with a shuffle, an iPod shuffle, and has ended it on a financial note that exceeds all previous ones. So, what happened in between all of that goodness? Lots!
Apple kissed off IBM and its PowerPC chips and embraced Intel with everything but a kiss on stage. It also reneged on a promise of no video on an iPod as well as bringing TV shows to its music store. By mid-year, that very store had half a billion in downloads to its name. Ending the year, iTMS opened its 21st store Down Under.
A smaller LCD iPod came and a colorful one went. U2’s day in the sun ended while a Tiger was unleashed. Believe it or not, even more happened in this year of 2005. Amazing, isn’t it? Makes you wonder what else this small Cupertino company is going to do for 2006.
