Your Web Surfing Just Got Easier With This Tab Trick

I’ve got a quick tip for you today but don’t let it’s length deceive you, this one is a real gem that I use every single day. As a developer, I really try to eliminate every possible bit of the mundane and repetitive using some of the technologies already built into the Mac — like AppleScript and Automator but for today’s tip, its something far easier.


One of the few really compelling new features that has emerged in the last few years it the concept of tabbed browsing which by now is old hat to most Mac users since Safari became the default Mac OS X web browser some time ago. Here is my absolute favorite tabbed browsing tip that I think you will find to be most useful. Like many people, I have a set of websites that I like to read every single morning, which has become my morning coffee ritual. Before tabs, that would require me to open up an individual window for each site that I wanted to surf but now with tabs, I don’t have to have so many windows open concurrently when I can just have each one open in a separate tab — but honestly, that wasn’t good enough.
