I am always in the support section of Apple’s website, not because my Mac is always having trouble, but I like to skim over the topics in the Apple support forums. I find so many hints, tips and tricks listed that I constantly am bookmarking something in the forums for later reference.
On my latest foray into the support forums earlier this week, I was looking for an answer to a friend’s email. She wrote and asked if I knew of any reason why the fans on her iMac seem to be running more often and much louder then before she updated to 10.4.3. I had a few ideas, but the forums gave her several reasons and possible solutions to her fan problem. More importantly, I came away with a great link I want to share with you. It’s called Mac Troubleshooting 101.
It’s a fantastic resource to have bookmarked. It has a list of problems and then a link to a full page of tips and fixes for those problems. Here is the index listing, you’ll see that it is indeed a great resource. Tags: mac, apple, troubleshooting, tips, support
