For those who may still be on the fence about making the switch (or about picking up a spare Mac), Apple has started a two-month long promotion which aims to get the Mac mini into as many homes as possible. The company is offering anyone who is interested an extended 30-day trial of the Mac mini, their entry-level computer:

1. Purchase a new Mac mini from the Apple Store online. You can also get an Apple keyboard and mouse, such as our new Mighty Mouse.

2. Set it up and start enjoying it.
3. If you don’t love it, call us within 30 days of your order and we’ll arrange for you to return your system — including the Apple keyboard and mouse — for a full refund.

The promotion will last until October 31, 2005, and is only valid for orders placed at Apple’s online store.
