Jazzing Up Your WordPress Admin Area

As you can tell from an article I posted here last week, I’m a WordPress fan. I use it on several of my websites, including The Mac ReviewCast. I only wish I had the knowledge with databases to switch the PHP-Nuke site I have on Surf-Bits to WordPress. (This is where I take volunteers)
One of the great features of WordPress is the ability to change the look, layout, design and feel of a WordPress Blog with a little CSS hacking. The problem was that the Admin area is still using an ugly old interface. But now several folks have started to develop face-lifts for the admin area. They are easy to use, just install them as a plug-in and you’re good to go. My favorite is a Tiger Spotlight knock-off called SpotPress. Another unique design is called “Tiger”, guess what that has your Admin interface looking like?
There are not many themes for the Admin area available, but I think that more will come as folks discover the fun and functionality of skinning this forgotten piece of WordPress. You can find all the skin plug-ins that are available in the WordPress Codex. Thank you Matt for the heads-up.
