Transmit 3 is Truly “Best of Show”

FTP, or File Transfer Protocol Programs are something many of you do not use, but for anyone with their own website to manage, or that want to upload and download files much faster then using you browser, FTP programs are an important utility. When I switched several years ago, I felt that Mac FTP programs were not as functional or as fast as their PC counterparts. Not anymore. Since that time Cabel Sasser with Panic Software has given us more and more reasons to love Mac FTP programs, specifically Transmit.

Earlier this year, Transmit 3 was released and it contains just about every feature found in any FTP program, Mac or PC, I’ve ever seen. It gives you all these features while being a solid built and easy to use application. Transmit uses drag and drop to handle files and gives you column views with favorites in a sidebar, spring loaded folders and tabs. All of these add up to functionality and simplicity, everything that makes Mac software so admired.
