What is Internet video aggregation? It’s the process of gathering and listing videos posted on several specific (such as usenet) locations on the Internet. Eastbay Technologies have released iTube for Mac, (and a Windows version), that does this and more. I can best describe iTube as a “Fun” application.
iTube is a simple to install, simple to use, $24 application that gives you over 1500 channels of live video, TV, and Webcams from around the world. Here is the current list of channels. There are no subscription fees and new channels are added each month. The channels are in either Real, Quicktime, or Windows Media and you can choose to view all three types or just Quicktime feeds, for example. It also shows you the bandwidth of each channel. The channels are sorted by general types of feeds and you can add a channel to your favorites list at anytime. iTube even has a “Search the Internet” function to gives users a tool to access millions of Internet video clips.
