If you’ve read Surf-Bits at all over the last few years, you know that one of the main reasons I love the Mac is the amazing software written for OS X. The software is unique, specific, and attractive. It does its job with amazing grace and functionality. Well this weekend I found another great example of this type of program; it’s from If Then Software and it’s called PoddumFeeder.
I was sick and tired of the Podcasting clients that I tried out. They worked sometimes and other times they didn’t. I went back to iPodder.org and looked at the list of Mac Podcast clients and I found PoddumFeeder. It’s not freeware, but the cost is another reason to love Mac software: If Then only charges $4.95 for the fully licensed program.
A Podcast client, for those of you who do not know, is a piece of software that searches the Internet for Podcast programs you designate, downloads them, and places them in iTunes for syncing to your iPod. It’s also known as a Podcast aggregator. If you would like to know more about Podcasting, here is an article I wrote back in October about the subject. I will list the features of PoddumFeeder below, but this software is the best Podcast client I have ever used, period. Do yourself a favor and find out why I’m in love with PoddumFeeder.
