Filename Corrector v1.0.3D

When moving files from a Mac to a PC, it is necessary that all files have proper file extensions and that there are no “illegal” characters in the file or folder names. Even if your files are already on a Windows Server, switching from AFP to SMP protocol for faster file-access (Appletalk vc TCP-IP protocol), gives the need for proper file extensions. Filename Corrector makes this task a very easy one: Just select a source folder and a target folder and Filename Corrector will automatically check the kind of files in these folders and add the proper extension to the file. When there are characters that are not allowed on the Windows OS, Filename Corrector will prompt you for new names. The downloadable demo version will only copy 25 files and does not allow you to change the preferences but in the full version there is no limit in files and there is the opportunity to add an unlimited amount of file types and their corresponding Windows extensions. (Filename Corrector comes with mappings for 78 filetypes and 46 extensions.)
