If you are anything like myself that horrid Apple post beep we all associate with the starting up of a Mac pierces your soul and causes profuse vomiting. Well, ok–maybe it’s not that bad but it is certainly annoying.
Luckily there is a way to stop it: StartupSound.prefPane 1.0.1 by Arcana Research. A simple install that will place the option to quiet or silence the beep within your system preferences.
Give it a whirl! What’s the worst that could happen? Other then complete hardware failure, but what’s life without risk eh?
