Yesterday was my first official day as a contributor to the OS X Fanatics blog / newsletter…
My first post was about RSS Newsreaders, fitting first post I thought since Lockergnome is loaded with RSS feeds. My second post was about Apple’s iTunes Music Store expanding into the UK, France and Germany…
So two posts on the first day, I thought that was a good start. I wake up this morning, turn on my computer, and set out to do my daily routine of reading my new email, and checking out my newsreader for updates at the many sites I visit…
When looking over my email I noticed that I had received an email through my blog’s contact form. What was even more intriguing was that the email address was from "apple.com." The message was short, but got it’s point across:
> Subject: iTunes RSS feeds
> message: http://www.apple.com/rss
I checked out the link and saw the many RSS feeds that Apple provides. I sent a reply out thanking the writer for contacting me and sharing the great resource of RSS feeds over at Apple. I also had to ask where he found my blog, and if he really worked for Apple. I got a speedy reply back, saying that he found my blog via the Lockergnome RSS feed, and that he did indeed work for Apple… a General Manager as a matter of fact.
It might not seem like much, but I’m happy that I made a good first impression with my first two posts at the OS X Fanatics page. You have to give me credit, I mean I got the attention of a Apple GM, who took the time to read my posts, click through to my blog, find my contact link, send off an message, and even reply back… Made my day.
