The 3 C’s of Mac Backup

If you’re like me, you’re constantly backing up your system. And with today’s available methods of backing up gigabytes of material, it’s not too hard to do. But what if you want to make an exact clone of your hard drive? Symantec doesn’t offer their Ghost product for Mac’s. The answer? Carbon Copy Cloner 2.3.

Whether you want to back up for archival purposes, or just want to transfer your hard drive to a larger drive, Carbon Copy Cloner does the trick. My favorite part is that you can simply connect an external hard drive and perform the clone running on top of OS X. Sound too easy? It is! Carbon Copy Cloner 2.3 is open source, so if you truly enjoy it, drop Mr. Bombich a buck or two, eh?

What are your thoughts?
