Top 5 Tips of the week: Organization

Here are some tips on keeping organized in front of your computer:

1) Download Rainlender to keep track of dates, I just downloaded it today, and its pretty cool, i can keep track of important dates and birthdays comming up. I recommend it.

2) If keeping files, keep them in folders that are named for the area they are involved, For example, on my Flash drive i bring to school, i named folders after the classes i have, and if there is a project for notes i keep, i put them in in a folder within that folder (EX: Dynamic Web Design/Lesson 12/trucks.html)

3) Email clutter, if you have a lot of folders like i do on my main email, check with your email service and see if you can setup filters. I love the filters, i have my youtube mail go directly to my youtube folder, and etc…

4) Keeping organized but loosing HD space? Delete folders and files you havent used for a long time, and know well that you wont need them in the future, like that old Biology project from september and its December.

5) Keep a clean desk! I cannot tell you how much a clean desk can improve on your productivity. my desk in my room is cluttered at the moment, *sigh*, but I dont spend much of my time on that computer, because it isnt connected to the internet. But it does help, makes you worry less about how dirty your desk is and focus on your work.
