Marketing With StumbleUpon

If you have not tried StumbleUpon yet, I would suggest that you do so right now. I do not find myself getting “hooked” on too many of these new Web 2.0 ideas, but if there ever was an exception, StumbleUpon would be it. If you are a Web site developer, you can market yourself on the Web site as well. How can you do that?

Check out StumbleUpon’s Ad Service. Due to complications and work being involved, I have not really advertised my Web sites much. Well, I have not ever paid for advertising because of those reasons, that might be a better way to put it. With StumbleUpon, though, there is no work that needs to be done.

All you do is transfer some cash in from PayPal, let it know where your Web site is and what “interest” you wish to insert yourself into, and you are done. If anything, I love this service just because it is so easy to set up and get going. You can put in as little or as much cash as you want as well. Of course, the more cash you put in - the more page views you are going to get.

As far as statistical information, it gives you that as well. It lets you know how many visitors you have had, and how many people have rated your link with a thumbs up or a thumbs down. This can give you an opinion of what the general public thinks of your Web site. I wish other advertising systems worked as well as StumbleUpon’s does.
