Remember WebCrawler?

I was surfing and an ad running down the side of a page caught my eye. What was it for? The old search engine WebCrawler. So I clicked it, and, low and behold, it’s quite different than in the past, offering “No Buttons, No Banners, No Pop-Ups!” I remember many years ago, AOL used WebCrawler as their search engine, I believe. WebCrawler was my search engine of choice for quite a while, until I went with Yahoo! and just about a year ago I started using Google as my primary search engine.

How many times have you guys switched primary search engines in the past? Which search engines were once glorious but are now only a faded memory?

I was given my first pc ( 486) and I downloaded “D.A.P.”–that is how I discovered spywear!!– but I enjoyed the search engine it used so much,
( DOGPILE) becuase it used Geeves, Google, etc etc etc etc “built-in”–I have used it without changing for 9 years now.–Is this a record?
