Into the Blender

The writing gene started in my family generations ago, and has thankfully seemed to find a place in my DNA. However, the painting gene flamed and died out about 5 generations back. That’s why I majored in drafting in college. It’s about as artistic as I can get. Freehand I can draw a fairly decent stick man.
When it comes to computer art, I’m totally lost. If you happen to be one of those I envy, a person with interest and talent in computer graphics, you probably wish there were more good programs for Linux. I think I can safely say Blender is one application that can give any Windows based 3D modelling environment a run for its money. I’m not even going to pretend that I understand anything about Blender. But I can tell you I’ve seen a few of the things this application can produce, and I’m amazed. If you’ve been looking for a full featured 3D renderer for your Linux box, look no further than Blender. You too can be, or at least produce a super model.
