It is no secret that Novell understands the power of Open Source software. Even the mighty Microsoft has found itself on the defensive as Linux and other Open Source projects begin to creep into it’s territory. Novell first showed they were serious about Open Source in early 2003 with the opening of orge.novell.com. Since then they have purchased Ximian and SuSE showing the world that they are in this for the long haul. I believe that Novell will not only continue to grow in the Open Source community, but I also think that they will spearhead future projects that will eventually bring Windows to it’s knees. But that is just a thought. ;o)
