Zaurus Hardware Review

http://www.the-gadgeteer.com/zaurus-sl-5000-review.html

While we’re on the subject of the Zaurus this week, I thought I’d point you to
a link reviewing the developer’s version of the Zaurus, the SL-5000. The
consumer version sitting on my desktop is the SL-5500. Today’s GnomeCLICK is a
link to a review of the SL-5000, written on the occasion of its release in
December 2001. The author, Jule Strietelmeier, take a thorough look at the
hardware that makes the Zaurus run. The page also photos of the Zaurus with
the HP Jornada 565 and Compaq iPaq. This is a nicely detailed review of all
the ins and outs of the Zaurus hardware. Ms. Strietelmeier has chosen to cover
the included software only lightly, understanding that the consumer version
would feature a more finished software package. Other than software and RAM,
the SL-5000 and SL-5500 are identical PDAs and this click gets to the heart of
both.
