Oh come on. We all have ideas as to the “perfect PC”, right? Well then leave it to those guys over at ExtremeTech to help you understand what components make the most sense to them for such an endeavor.

I build all my own PCs. I also do a lot of system testing. The way we benchmark here at ExtremeTech is to actually build a system inside a PC case, then see how it all plays together. It works pretty well for the most part, but there are still ways I wish my life were easier, both as a product reviewer and as a guy who uses the PC he builds. Here’s my wish list. I’m not talking about a case for my own use, though I might use one of the cases I’m about to describe should it ever become a product. There are tons of cases that are perfectly fine—if you only open them once a year or so. What I want in a case for the lab, though, is something a little different.
