Continuing the trend of factories overclocking their own graphics cards, PNY Technologies has introduced its new Verto GeForce 6800 GS PCI Express graphics, with a 470 Mhz clock and 256 MB of GDDR3 RAM.

Overclocked graphics cards are nothing new, and other vendors have been selling them for several years. For its part, Nvidia produces so-called “golden chips,” which have performed well in overclocking tests, which it sells to video card makers for a premium price. Companies still offer warranties on cards which use overclocked chips, because the practice has become so common and safe. In fact, PNY is giving a three-year warranty on this new card.
