OK, it’s official! I definitely want one of these mods for myself. The idea of having a PC case the looks like R2-D2 is just cool to pass up.

From May to June this year, ExtremeTech ran its Science Fiction Case Mod Contest. Unfortunately, for Ken “TGS” Kirby, this wasn’t long enough, as his R2-D2 case mod took several more months to complete, and the work certainly shows for it. Would R2-D2 have taken a bite out of this year’s winner, the TIE Fighter case mod, if given the chance to go head to head?
