Navigation Systems Creating Bad Drivers

I am driving home from work today and start eying my portable navigation system that I have in my car. I am realizing that even though these systems are helping us find, our way, we are becoming too dependent on them. Instead of truly learning how to drive to someplace new, we are just lemmings listening to instructions. Turn left in 200 feet. Are we getting dumber by relying on electronics? I believe we only get dumber if we don’t use technology as a tool, but as a way a life. We can enhance our lives with computers, but don’t be a slave to them.

If people cant drive while talking on a phone (and thats been proven!!!) we are going to have mass murder on our highways. If you ride a bike or drive a smaller car, write your will now. they should be audio only and not show a picture while the vehicle is in motion. another point they do NOT show the shortest or quickest route each time! IF YOUR LOST PULL OVER in a safe area, get help. dont get further away from your destination. they dont always show closed roads in a reasonable time. WE ARE MAKING OURSELFS STUPIDER (case in point… calculaters!) face it folks we are de evolving back to cavemen! mankind is now a endangered species.
