It used to be, in the good old days, rock stars were party animals, giving credence to the motto “Sex, Drugs, and Rock and Roll.” What has happened to those good ol’ days? Why aren’t they like they used to be? One reason is that many of the hardcore rock’n'rollers are no longer with us. As in not living. As in assumed room temperature. As in dead. But the ones that remain have slowed way down. They may still party all night long, but now they include their family in one way or another. Many have diversified (some would say sold out, but to each his own) and dabble in more than music. Today’s Warped site subject has done all of it, and then some.

Gene Simmons.com is the online personification of one of the legends of rock’n'roll. Over 30 years ago, he confounded the group KISS. After achieving legendary status in the rock world, he (and KISS) branched out into other areas of the business world, not just musically. KISS is one of the most widely licensed acts of all time in any field, with over 2500 separate deals. They dabble in NASCAR, have a comic book line, own a camera, a coffee house, a Holiday Inn, and even Pepsi and Coca Cola have competed for their likenesses. Gene has several shows, such as Rock School and Family Jewels, as well as a smash cartoon series My Dad The Rock Star. He has discovered other groups, and given them a start in the business, such as Van Halen, and managed others, such as Liza Minelli.

Gene is an incredible person, who has a beautiful wife and adorable kids. But you can see his wild side here, which makes him our kinda Warped person. The Warp-o-Meter gives this site an 8.5 rating so we can party all night long.

Holy Sequin-Encrusted Cow!

Dear Gene: My name is Adam Daffner (THE DIRTMAN) I race off road trucks. This year is the first year the races will be televised on NBC. It is a very big thing. I saw that you dabbled in NASCAR. Over the next couple years short cource racing will be one step below NASCAR. I would like to have the KISS RACETEAM, that would be a major player at these races. There is huge potential for sales in shirts, hats, toys and everything else you could think of. It is very cheep to get into this form of racing compaired to NASCAR. I would also like to see your son participate in these races as well. It is a very safe form of racing. The avarage race usualy sees between 30,000 and 50,000 people at each event. This year there will be seven races in the southern CA. area, one in Las Vegas and one at the Texas Motor Speedway, like I said, this sport is becoming one fastest growing forms of offroad racing. People and TV is really taking to the sport. Lots of dollars are being spent at all the venders. Please check out our web site http://www.dirtman.com.or check out the CORR web site which is http://www.corrracing.com. We would love to have you on our team. Looking forward to hear from you
