Not to stir up an argument, but I don't want to stay silent on this one.

While I understand enthusiasm for scientific breakthroughs, I don't condone embryonic stem cell research. My wife suffers from Type 1 diabetes and one of my children has severe Cerebral Palsy. He is 8 years old but can't walk or talk. My mother has arthritis throughout her body and my father is in a nursing home with Parkinson's disease, acute kidney failure and dementia. I have the beginning stages of degenerative arthritis at the base of my spine. I wouldn't sacrifice the life of ONE unborn baby in order to save my family or myself. My family members wholeheartedly agree.

Life begins at conception. It is not just a fetus, it is a human being.
